New application after ESTA denied

Although the vast majority of applications are accepted, there are times when the ESTA is denied. Can we then try our luck again and make a new one?

Re-apply for ESTA after being denied?

You have been refused your ESTA document? Don’t worry, it is possible to do a new one. But while this is possible, it does not mean it is necessary. The refusal of your first application may be due to a data entry error when filling out the form, and in this case, going back to the drawing board and making sure that everything is correctly filled out can help you obtain your ESTA declaration on the second try. But if the reasons for the rejection of your application are related to the fact that you are simply not eligible to receive authorization, it is mandatory to turn to a visa process.

If you are refused, no explanation is given. However, if you wish to know the reasons, you must contact the Travel Redress Inquiry Program (TRIP), which is the only organization that can provide you with the reasons for the rejection. Depending on their response, you can apply for a new ESTA or visa.

How do I reapply for ESTA?

In order to reapply for ESTA, simply repeat the same steps you took the first time around. It is therefore possible to make your request on the official American website.
