What is the procedure for obtaining an ESTA?
Obtaining an ESTA declaration is within the reach of all Internet users. Start by going to the official website to apply individually. You will then have access to a form divided into several parts.
Personal information
The ESTA form begins with a few questions about your personal information. You will be asked to enter your first and last name, date of birth and telephone number. In a second step, you will have to indicate your passport number but also your departure city and your flight number.
The 10-question questionnaire
In the third step, you will be asked a series of ten questions that you will answer yes or no. The latter talk about your legal history, your relationship with American law, and your health.
Verification and payment
Your ESTA form is then completed. All you have to do is review your personal information and your answers to the questionnaire. Far from being anecdotal, this step is essential because in case of error, your ESTA form will be invalid.
Finally, you will have to pay the application fee directly online. The payment is made only by credit card. Once paid, the ESTA form is sent very quickly. In the longest cases, you will receive it within 72 hours maximum.
